As you are all aware, Westport United take on Oliver Bond Celtic this Sunday at United Park in the FAI Junior Cup Quarter Final. Unfortunately, Government restrictions mean that we are limited to a maximum outdoor gathering of 200 people. In the interests of public health, we will be strictly monitoring the number of people in United Park on the day and all tickets will be pre-allocated. If you have not been allocated a ticket, we ask that you please do not come to United Park on Sunday. We, like many of you, are extremely disappointed that this will result in many of our fans who have supported us through thick and thin across the length and breadth of the country not being able to attend. The game will be live streamed by our FAI Junior Cup media partners, Striker Online on Facebook and live commentary will be broadcast by Mid West Radio. Both of these kick-off at 2pm and we ask you all to tune in and show your support online. The ticket allocation is outlined below, showing the difficult position the Club is in: Match officials, players, management, backroom teams: 67 tickets Representatives of FAI, Connacht FA, Mayo League, Leinster Senior League: 7 tickets Westport United Club Officials: 9 Tickets Oliver Bond Celtic Club Officials: 7 tickets Guests of Westport United: 6 tickets Westport United Sponsors: 2 tickets Stewards: 10 tickets Medical Personnel: 3 tickets Media Representatives: 12 tickets Away supporters: 17 tickets Home Supporters: 60 tickets The 60 tickets for home supporters have been allocated to our own players and management for their families only. A vast majority of the Club committee will not be in attendance on the day and a number of club players returned allocations (13 tickets in total) which have been re-distributed fairly by the Club sub-committee tasked with organising the day. We’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank those committee members and players who are giving up their attendance in order to accommodate others. Once again, all tickets have now been allocated. Please do not attend United Park if you have not been allocated a ticket. We will have no option but to turn you away at the gate. We are extremely sorry to those who cannot attend and hope that you can understand our position. Health & safety at this time is our top priority. We look forward to a day in the hopefully not-too-distant future when we can all fill United Park again and cheer on our boys in Red and Black. Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
