A first forty-five minutes to forget, a second, which proved that the hunger still exists, and a finale that had the visiting supporters lurching from deflation to elation within the space of thirty seconds. In other words, a typical FAI Junior Cup outing for Westport United. It’s never straight forward (and it should have been last Sunday) and if there is a junior team in the country who puts those close to them through the mill in the same way as this United team manages on a regular basis, then we’d love to meet them.
