Thank you to all participants for taking part in the current Westport Utd Last Man Standing competition.

After Week One, there was a massacre in Anfield; the main talking point of the early casualties as 100 entries fell at the first hurdle comprising :

Liverpool with 89

Bournemouth with 7

Man Utd with two

Man City also with two

Back in 1987 we had Black Monday hitting the world, 30 years on we had Black Tuesday in North London with Elton John and the Watford gang humbling Arsenal and Spurs firing blanks on Wearside. Things brightened up on Wednesday night with the Tykes holding the might of Manchester to a scoreless draw! Over the two days there was also some collateral damage experienced in Bournemouth, Everton, Leicester and Southampton resulting in the biggest LMS crash in living memory! The following six people survived including a joint LMS 2016 winner/dodgy basketballer Aidan O’Shea and Paul Moore who similar to Chelsea looks like the odds on winner as we head into week 3!

Casualties from Week 2 as follows:
Man U 56
Arsenal 38
Spurs 21
Bournemouth 5
Saints 2
Leicester 1
Everton 1

After two rounds of spectacular massacres with record breaking eliminations from LMS, this weekend was a very tame affair with only two participants eliminated; both were on Liverpool, which just leaves four contestants to fight it out for a win or share of €500.

Good luck to Aidan, Joanne, Keith and Paul in Week 4.
