It was a night to remember for Westport United's Mikey O'Brien as he was awarded the inaugural Goal of the Season at the Mayo AFL Presentation Dinner at the Castlecourt Hotel. The announcement came via videolink from former Republic of Ireland international, Kevin Kilbane, who praised the quality of the goals in the final shortlist. Mikey's goal was his sensational winner against Manulla at United Park in the FAI Junior Cup when he received the ball in his own half, beat a few players and unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner. Along with that prestigious accolade, he also won Young Player of the Month and was on the final shortlist of Young Footballer of the Year.

David Cameron, who completed his twentieth consecutive season of Super League football, got on the Super League Team of the Year and Player of the Month. This was crowned off with the accolade of Super League Player of the Year, a fitting tribute for the only footballer to have played in every single season of the Super League for the club and perhaps the only footballer remaining to have played in top flight football since 1999.

Both Joe Lawless and James O'Donnell both made the Super League Team of the Year following some quality performances from the pair. Joe is also a veteran of the side and a regular presence in the Team of the Year while James has become more established over the last couple of seasons following his League of Ireland exploits and has produced some big match displays throughout the season.

As runners up of the Super League, the club was awarded with runners up medals and a cheque of €750.
