The last two weeks has brought images to our TV screens of what has been the worst humanitarian crisis to hit Europe since World War Two as Ukraine has seen over two million refugees flee the country following Russia's invasion, based on the latest figures from the UN refugee agency (UNHCR). The situation in Kyiv and other cities is a matter of life and death in which civilian facilities have been targeted and destroyed in Russian artillery strikes, including hospitals. In response, many people have stood up and being counted in helping in any way they could to help in the plight of the Ukrainian refugee crisis.

Following the fantastic efforts of the Polish community in Mayo collecting vital supplies for Ukrainian refugees crossing into Poland, Westport United has decided to assist the funding of the containers which need to be urgently shipped to Poland. To help fund the cost 100% of the online lotto proceeds will be donated to this great cause. This will give all of you the opportunity to make a small donation(€2 or €5) while also getting the chance to win this weeks jackpot of €23,200.
